Course Description

Private Tutoring Programs are custom designed to meet your goals.

TLC’s goal is to help you understand how dogs learn, what they are trying to tell you via body language, and how to ‘talk’ to your dog in a language he/she can understand.

We also want to teach you how to build a beautiful relationship with each other, as well as how to incorporate training into everyday life. We will teach you how to solve and prevent problem behaviors through leadership, positive reinforcement, and obedience.

Teaching you how to communicate with and build a positive and working relationship with your dog, to ensure a long and happy life together.

Socialization and Intermediate to Advance Obedience can also be achieved in Private Tutoring. The package you choose will depend on your goals, and the level of training your dog currently has. TLC can also help you with this decision.

Private Puppy Kindergarten - $299

This 4 week program is designed to prevent undesired behaviors before they begin, but to also to teach you how to solve these behaviors if already started.

Also a perfect jump start to obedience 101 and teaching your pup what is expected of him/her in the years to come.

Lessons introduced in Puppy K may include,  but are not limited to...

  • Playbiting/Nipping
  • Chewing inappropriate items
  • House-training
  • Touch Conditioning
  • Name recognition
  • Accepting his/her collar and leash
  • Sit - stay - come
  • Proper socialization.
PUPPY K
  • Price: $99
  • Course Length: 7 weeks
  • Enrollment requirements: Pups must have at least 2 sets of DHLPP-C and Bordatella.
  • Puppy K is for dogs between the ages of 8 weeks and 20 weeks.
  • The lessons the pups will learn during this critical socialization period will affect them for the rest of their life.
OBEDIENCE 101
  • Price: $99
  • Course Length: 7 weeks, including orientation for humans.
  • Learn how to prevent and solve behavior problems, become a fair and consistent leader, communicate with your dog, and learn basic commands.
LUCKY DOG U
  • Intermediate to Advanced Study, CGC
  • Price: $120
  • Course Length: 7 weeks
  • Enrollment requirements:
  • Open Enrollment - You may join this class at any time !
  • Attend class on your schedule, as long as your 7 sessions are completed within 6 months.
  • Pre-registration is required.

SPRING BREAK

PHYSICAL ED
  • Walk, run, bike ride, play, and/or mental stimulation for your high energy dog.

  • 45 minute visit: $18.00
  • 60 minute visit: $20.00
SHOLORSHIP PROGRAM
  • ATTENTION LOW COUNTRY AREA RESCUE, SPCA GROUPS AND ADOPTERS!!
  • The Learning Canine is launching the Hunter Scholarship Program!
  • Full scholarship awarded to one foster dog, from any SPCA or Rescue group, per session
  • Obedience 101, Lucky Dog U, or CGC
